As promised, this week I would like to share a message and original concept statement from our drummer, Shufflemonster, regarding GrooveQuest's style, spirit, and name.

Shufflemonster says ---

For starters, GrooveQuest has a "Groovalicious" song list --- handpicked for pure exuberance, excitement, and dancing fun! And then --- through Groovalistic Alchemy --- a friendly mojo--- and some poetic license, each and every song becomes a springboard to:

Old-fashioned, rompin, stompin, rock'n rollin, wild and wonderful GOOD-NATURED FUN and frolic!

GrooveQuest is a spontaneous, interactive sharing, an intense encounter with the essential spirit of the musical moment. With GrooveQuest, each and every song becomes a Groovalistic adventure, an exciting shared journey, connecting band and audience on an elevated plane of spiritual enrichment; thus the name "GrooveQuest," the spiritual quest from and of the groove, encouraging openness to Discovery, of all and any groove phenomena, including spiritual powers therefrom.

The name GrooveQuest, itself, is an energizing factor in the band/performance-art Gestalt. We believe in and identify with our new name. In all likeliness, the name GrooveQuest inspires, ennobles, and enables us to play better!
