Every now and again, when the spirit rises to the occasion, Shufflemonster finds himself interjecting an exuberant rhythmic groove-oriented tribute to the spirit of the music; it's kind of a spontaneous, impressionistic, interactive drum-set groove overlay and embellishment. The rest of the time he is more or less working his grooves and channeling Karma. The Groove QUEST is a way to discover that there is more to a groove than just an elegant grouping of coordinated syncopated drum-set rhythms; even more than the output/musical contribution from a dynamic Drum and Bass GROOVE TEAM. The venturesome members of GrooveQuest are endeavoring to expand their consciousness and thereby understand ways in which the Groove can become a portal to alternate realities wherein the essential spirit of the music dwells. GrooveQuest is an interaction with exuberant karmic abundance, which channels karma and forms a feedback loop between the spirit of the band, audience and dance floor.
