GrooveQuest performs a show that honors the spirit of Rock & Roll by combining a variety of extraordinarily upbeat 'Old School', Rock n' Roll/Rhythm and Blues songs, mixed with Elvis classics. By emphasizing the "spirit" of the music, rather than Elvis the person, GrooveQuest offers an audience the romantic nostalgia of Elvis's glory days/happy days blended with a present day encounter of organic, dynamic, creative, and inspirational drum & bass, and band interactive grooves.

The result of 'playing' a tribute to the essential spirit of Rock n' Roll is a musical performance art that includes heart-felt, spontaneous, impassioned, authentic self-expression from the band. One might say that GrooveQuest plays essentially 'Elvis Like' ---free-spirited, inspired, full of life, rather than imitatively "like Elvis". [Although, we do have "the Vegas jump suit" for special occasions, special requests, or anytime in between :) ]

GrooveQuest--the name, the concept, the mission--and its Elvis Show was produced, created, and/or inspired by drummer/band leader Lowell Schiff (aka Shufflemonster). Shufflemonster attributes much of his musical inspiration to Elvis. Shufflemonster holds the unshakable belief that Elvis Presley was, is, and always will be, the undisputed King of Rock n' Roll, and that, therefore, the spirit of Elvis and the spirit of Rock n' Roll are one in the same. Shufflemonster and GrooveQuest also believe that the spirit of Rock n' Roll and the spirit of America are one!
